Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to the questions businesses ask most often before launching a digital loyalty programme.
What is a digital loyalty card?
A digital loyalty card is the phone-based replacement for a paper stamp card. Customers scan a QR code or tap NFC at checkout to earn points or stamps. The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so it cannot be lost, and the balance updates automatically after every purchase. Fuller guide: /blog/what-is-a-digital-loyalty-card
How does Apple and Google Wallet integration work?
Customers add the card to their phone by QR code, NFC tap or a link. It is stored in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so there is no app for them to install. Balances update in real time, and you can send push updates straight to the lock screen.
Does Walvero work with my POS system?
Walvero connects to point-of-sale systems through a REST API and webhooks, so points are earned and redeemed automatically at checkout. Ready-made integrations are available today for iiko, Monyo and 1C. Any other POS can be connected easily through our configurable endpoints.
How long does setup take?
Most cafés and shops are live within one working day. Setup means choosing a card design, setting your reward rules and printing a QR code for the counter. No technical knowledge is required.
How much does Walvero cost?
Pricing is agreed individually, based on the size of your business and the number of branches. There is no free plan, but a trial period is available so you can run the programme before committing. Every plan includes Apple and Google Wallet support, real-time analytics and the ability to connect your POS. Contact us for a quote.
Who owns the customer data?
Your customers' data belongs to your business: you are the data controller and Walvero processes it on your behalf. Walvero does not sell or share it. The only exception is a customer's own Walvero app account, which that customer holds with Walvero directly. How data is stored and protected is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.
Can I run several locations on one account?
Yes. Walvero supports multi-location management: each branch can have its own programme and branding while everything is run from a single dashboard. Role-based access means each staff member sees only what belongs to them.
